Contraception is a major issue with Adolescent sexual
behavior. Close to 40% of adolescent “first time sexual experiences” happen
with no use of protection or pregnancy prevention. Research shows Black
adolescents begin at a younger age than Whites and Hispanics, which is due to
the developmental differences such as puberty and higher levels of
hormones/testosterone. As much as many parents do not like to take
responsibility for their children’s’ early sexual behavior, the parenting of
the children plays a huge part in the sexual decisions they will make in the
near future and so forth. Sadly, single parent homes, poverty, and
disadvantaged neighborhoods play a significant role in sexual activity for
Black adolescents. Should the lack of education about sex be blamed on the
adolescents or the parents? How can one blame the adolescents or even the
parents when the parents are uneducated as well about this potential dangerous
behavior? Who is responsible for educating the children and the parents? WE
ARE. Our tax dollars are
responsible when an unplanned teen pregnancy develops and statistics show 37%
of these pregnancies end with abortions. What can we do to educate our
adolescents about sexual behavior? First solution is to make parents aware
their children are no exception to sexual behavior. Most are in denial. Show
parents the statistics and encourage them to have open communication with their
children. Many programs have been developed to educate about the Sexually Transmitted
Disease issues and pregnancy among teens but these organizations lose
credibility because they show little to no effect on the issue. None of these
organizations have unflawed foundations, example “Planned Parenthood”. Let us
come together to personally reach out. This seems to be a major issue in the
African American community. Even if it doesn’t affect you directly because you
“left the hood” and you are sipping on tea and golfing with your coworkers on
Saturdays, remember your children and children’s children will reap the benefits
of us acknowledging and caring about what happens amongst our own. Peace!

Hypothetical question:
If
there was no European influence on Black people, what would be our
standards of beauty? Would it be straight hair, alkaline features, and
light skin? Or would the standards of beauty be dark skin, spiral hair,
and dark eyes? These are questions that should make us think. If slavery
would have never happened, and the dark skin and light skin “Willie
Lynch” mentality was never developed, what would be the standard of
beauty? Are the results of slavery still haunting us? To answer this, I
would say Hell Yes. Why else would a black woman with dark eyes put blue
contacts in her eyes? I am not downing peoples with blue eyes, but I
feel why not be proud of what you already have. Many defend their choice
of fashion by saying it a fashion statement. A fashion statement is
wearing some ripped jeans or a sequence halter top, but to change the
very thing that makes you divine is a form of self hate. As far as
desiring straight hair, the spirals in your hair indicate how close to
nature you are because your hair spirals to the sun. Our hair is so
divine that there is a mathematical sequence called Fibonacci in which
proves how natural our hair is. Fibonacci
Spiral is geometrically beautiful and can be found in all aspects of
nature from vegetation to the cosmos. The integers go in a sequence such
as follows: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, 377, 610, 987, 1597, 2584……… ect. Why
strive for straight hair and calcify your pineal gland with harsh
chemicals to change the natural sequence of what makes you beautiful?
Because a European concept that has poisoned your mind? Or because you
want to fit in society? Or because your perception of beauty is warped?
Next time you meet someone who wants to strip away their divine black
beauty, ask them these questions.

Many people
take their nuts for granted. If people knew how beneficial nuts are, they would
eat more of them. After reading this, perhaps you will take some pride in your

 I noticed people are making a living depending on the
system (Government assistance). One should not be ashamed of reaching out for
help but it should not be the first option that comes to mind. The lack of
education and self respect is the cause for so many people being on the system.
It starts with unprotected and irresponsible sex which is the lack of self
control, and the lack of respect is not taking responsibility for the outcome.
I personally am not defending the government because this is a trap designed by
the government which is a form of control used against the low class, however;
I would be no better than them if I didn’t strive to inform people. Family
planning and financial security should be the primary goal between a man and a
woman prior to conception so they will not have to be another statistic.
Everyone gets down on their luck, we have all been there. This topic isn’t
about people who have families but were laid off, lost everything, and had to
receive assistance to live. I am referring to people who make a career out of
utilizing Government and State assistance and plan pregnancies just to place
them on the system. What is so pleasurable about having sex unprotected when
you cannot afford medical insurance? Not alone, a baby being born 9 months
later. Let’s make people think about these choices they make because it doesn’t
only effect them, it affects us all.

 Lately I have been questioning what has happened to
home cooked meals? My generation has lost traditional values when it
comes to 3 course meals being cooked in the home daily. I personally
continue this pattern. I notice fast food has become the primary source
of food for young adults and no wonder obesity and type 2 diabetes is on
a rise in the Black Community. I understand this is due to stressful
work schedules and time for cooking is an issue, and the way the economy
currently is, fast food is probably ideal financially for some.
Considering you can now get a double cheese burger for 1 dollar. Though I
see the points people make when they grab some greasy fries and chicken
nuggets, do anyone question what this is doing to them internally? Do
people have any clue what they are placing in their bodies? Fast foods
are high in sodium, low in fiber, and loaded with high amounts of
saturated fat. Including the chicken nuggets people love to feed their
children. Chicken nuggets also include BEEF extract (a lil secret I
wanted to share). My advice for many is to incorporate living foods in
your daily diet. Replace an order of small fries with an apple or
banana. When we fill our bodies with dead foods daily, how do we expect
to live? It doesn’t add up. Let’s encourage our friends and loved ones
to do some simple lifestyle changes so they can live a longer and
healthier life.

My
father used to always tell me as a child “There is always an internal
reaction to anything you put in your body”. This rang in my head till
this day, even as an adult. When I see people take prescription drugs,
it makes me clinch. Many are unaware of what exactly is being placed in
their bodies. Have you ever asked yourself, how did our ancestors heal
themselves? Nature provides us with everything we need to heal
ourselves, so why do we continue to place prescription drugs in our
systems with risky side effects? These drugs do not cure the problem but
they cure the symptom most of time and the side effects are not worth
it. I find it less complicated to use natural alternatives than spend
hard earned money on prescription drugs. 150,000 people die yearly from “PROPERLY” taking prescription medicine. These are not
the individuals who are doing them recreationally or for addiction.
This number should make you wonder. I never heard of anyone dying from
using cinnamon or parsley which can treat you for a number of things. My
goal is to educate everyone on this matter and hopefully prolong
healthy lives. I have a number of lists I create to share with those who
wish to learn of simple and inexpensive alternatives to promote good
health. You will be shocked at what I have come up with.

 As
individuals, we all have our unique ways of learning. Some learn
through touching and observing, some learn based on what they are told,
and many learn through pure experience. My way of learning is rather
frustrating because I cannot grasp the concept of anything until I get
down to the core of how it became what it is. Learning anything is a
task for me. I tackle all things from inside out. I’m a critical thinker
and I’m extremely logical. This is a blessing and a curse at the same
time. It makes me intellectual with the ability to decipher pretty much
anything, but sadly it makes me an outcast to society. While the
majority follow tradition and conform, I.m the one in the background
questioning why. I like to know the foundation and origins of what I.m
learning or following. I have my own theory called the Foundation
Theory. This theory is as stated: How a structure or organization was
created from the foundation, will end according to how solid the
integrity of the foundation began. These are my words and my theory and I
can give examples to support this theory. A home is a physical
structure which requires a solid foundation. If the home is built upon a
muddy unstable foundation, no matter how beautiful the home is
decorated or painted, it will always be unstable. This home can be the
most gorgeous mansion in the country, and people can admire this home
from afar and desire their homes to mimic this breath taking structure
and design. They forget about the foundation and some are so caught on
the exterior beauty, they never learn that this mansion was built on a
nasty muddy lot which is contaminated. They simply ignore the stench of
the impurities on which the house was built upon. Upon realization the
house was built on such unstable ground, their very response would be,
"Don't focus on the negative. Look at what it became to be!" So the
response is telling us to ignore the foundation and just be in awe of
the beauty because that is what the masses are doing. After
comprehending my theory on foundation and my long drawn out example of
the beautiful mansion built on mud, lets take a look at the comparison
to religion. The foundation of Christianity was full of torture, murder,
intimidation, and pure misery. Millions of people dead in the name of Jesus.
Over 2000 years Christians have played sadistic roles in millions
mutilated and murdered. Such a beautiful foundation isn’t it? Modern day
Christians say, "Well, those were not true Christians." I would like
for them to tell me the characteristics of a true Christian. These early
Christians are the ones who created the blueprint for their religion so
how were they not true Christians? The response normally is, "Well,
they were not Christ like so they weren’t Christian". This is something
that is very misunderstood considering anyone anointed can be a
christ/christo. Christ is Greek for the anointed one, so I would like to
say I am Christ like. I anointed myself long ago with shea butter oil.
Perhaps it’s humorous but I’m a realist. For many to deny the grim
history of this religion is like sweeping huge piles of dust under the
rug. Regardless if the fore-fathers of this religion was Christ like or
not, does this truly change the dark history and foundation on which it
stands? This is the unstable foundation this religion rest upon. How
something starts is exactly how it will end.
